Moving Past Trauma

Our son is getting remarried this morning and we were not invited to the wedding.  Tough day.  But we are so at peace.  Moving past this trauma and onto Victory!  Thank you  ����. Theresa

I am touched by your words today, we all go through hurtful things with our families. My prayer for you is that he strengthen your heart and your husband's heart.  I have been estranged from one of my daughters for years but I had been ministered through prophecy that she would come back to me. I received that word as from God with a witness in my spirit.

She did come back to me in time. Our relationship has been restored to the glory of God with a deep healing for us both.  God's requirement for me was to keep my heart open for her and be like the father in the prodigal son parable to keep looking out for her in my heart. To never give up. I would say the same to you. 

I am impressed with this scripture for you:

Colossians 1:19-20 King James Version (KJV)

¹⁹ For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;²⁰ And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

He is able to reconcile all things in earth and in heaven. He is able to bring families together for his glory. By the shedding of  his blood He made it possible for us to have peace with God, and the peace of God and peace with each other.

God makes everything beautiful in his time,  the reconciliation of your son and yourself is included in that. 

You have his strength today. You have his peace and his love today and everyday.

¹⁸ The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

Continue to release time into the Hand of God he is at work in your family. Bless God for the victory of reconciliation that will manifest in the timing of God.

Traumas can affect us because we even deny we have them. We try to seem as
if we have it all together but only until we open up and allow His work
because we trust him and gave faith in him will we see any headway.
I am reading a book by Kenyon on new creation realities and he explained on
how Jesus is the way, truth and life and we too as well are called to be
lights pointing others yo the reality of the word and showing them the way
to the Fathers heart

Dear Tessy, how sad this is but continue to open up to the Lord to heal
your heart and soon you will laugh again. It is well.

I read Kenyon's book many years ago and it was great! Lots of good nuggets in there to glean from also may I recommend this book on forgiveness. It is one of the best I have ever read:

That resonates with me, and will deal with this always, Jesus is the same yesterday today and forevermore. He is the only one who is out of time, who can go back in time within our emotions and heal us so that we can be in the right timing of God and walk in step with the spirit.

²⁵ Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.

When we are face traumas we are arrested in that moment of time as it were.  We are stuck in that moment, reliving it over and over emotionally. Depending of the healing of our Lord will get us in the right position that we need to be in.

If we don't open up and allow the Holy Spirit to highlight these wounds in us we give the enemy a stronghold within us.

¹¹ Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.  

Unhealed wounds will fester with the fruit of fear, control and manipulation which will manifest in the body as disease for dis-ease!

I could not agree more with both of you.  I'm thrilled that you and your daughter have reconciled.  That gives us so much hope.  We were completely blindsided by this, but we have very open hearts.  Most eager to reconcile, but as we all know, it has to be in His timing.  I have no doubt that our relationship will be restored.  It's just the "waiting time" that seems to be the hardest.  I want to jump in try and fix everything, but that's not my job.  The Lord will do that.  My job is to forgive, keep on loving him, and keep praying for the strongholds to be broken and not allow bitterness to take root.  

And Expectant Bride, you are so right.  We often deny that anything is wrong.  That we're not hurting Or traumatized.  So many are raised to portray that everything is great!  Couldn't be better, when we know it's not and it's bigger than we thought.  This denial often leads us into isolation.  And that's exactly where the enemy wants us.  Alone and feeling defeated or shamed.  It's sad to hear the personal stories of the thousands of parents who have been estranged by their adult children.  They say it's almost an epidemic.  

This is where we must stand strong and know who we are and whose we are.  Our strength comes from the Father.  He has heard our prayers, collected our tears and is moving on our behalf.  One day soon, I hope to announce that restoration and healing has taken place.  Until then, I continue to meet my best friend and first love, down by the river.  I run after HIM and long for our precious walks in the garden.  It's there I'm completely immersed in HIS LOVE and am pain free.  ❤️ Theresa
